I love coaching clients through a process of finding or managing a career that is meaningful and energizing, bringing unique value to others so that Monday morning is enjoyed as much as Friday afternoon!
Since high school, I had a dream to professionally forward people toward what they were created to do, what is meaningful. For years, I didn't realize my dream was to become a Career Coach. A friend told me about a Career Coach she was seeing in my home town, Traverse City, Michigan and as she described the roler of her Career Coach, my exploration about career coaching began. In January ’06 my dream was realized when I became a Certified Career Management Coach! Shortly afterwards, I became a Certified Leadership & Talent Management Coach. I enjoy career and leadership coaching even more than I thought I would! I love seeing 'stuck' clients move through a process so that they are in a career that fits their strengths, passions and core values.
In the Spring of '08 I became a Certified Life Coach through Institute of Life Coach Training. Continual learning is very important to me since my goal is to be the best coach I can be for my clients. I annually attend the Career Management Alliance Conference and International Coaches Federation Conference. Also, I participate in local seminars and weekly teleforums! I enjoy reading books that help me be a better coach as can be seen by all of the boxes that are continually delivered to my office.
I have been happily married to Tom for over 25 years! We have two awesome college-age daughters. I enjoy walking with friends, going out for coffee, reading, contemplating life with while viewing lakes and mountains and being involved in the Women’s Ministry at New Hope Community Church along with participating as an active board member with Single MOMM.
